Chief Ambassador Dr. Lancelot Oduwarene Imasuen has warmly felicitated with the Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo Ewuare II, as he marks his birthday and seventh coronation anniversary.

The popular filmmaker, who is still basking in the euphoria of the success of the inaugural innovative idea which he founded, International Student Film Festival, ‘ISFF’, in a statement made available to newsmen on Friday said he rejoices with the Royal Family, Benin Traditional Council, and most especially, the Benin people as their highly revered traditional ruler turns a new age and also marks a remarkable 7th year filled with peace and love in the ancient city.

The African most consistent filmmaker said, “The unparalleled peace and tranquility that Benin has enjoyed and still enjoying since you ascended the throne of your forefathers is unquantifiable. During your reign, your steadfastness in ensuring that stolen artefacts are returned to the country is remarkable. You have clearly shown that you are indeed the chosen one. Benin has never had it this good.

“As the custodian of the cherished customs and traditions of the Benin Kingdom and its people, you have continued to use your exalted position and divine endowments for the promotion of arts, culture, and the values that the Benin Kingdom and the Nigerian people hold as very important,” the filmmaker stated.

Dr. Lancelot Imasuen wishes the Oba many more years of good health and fulfillment on the throne and congratulates the good people of Benin and Edo State in general.

For his close to two decades uninterrupted media experiences, Aliagan with some like minds floated Time Nigeria Magazine, where he is currently serving as the Managing Editor, a Magazine that is setting Economic and political pace for the most populous country on African continent, Nigeria. Aliagan has been a Contributing Editor for some other media platforms such as Security Monitor, Kwara Arise and Health Agenda. Aliagan is the Publisher of ArtsDaily Nigeria, a History, Culture and Tourism focused Newspaper.
